Dr. Reeve is Professor in the University of Toronto Department of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry and served as Department Chair 2001-2011.
    
Dr. Reeve serves as the founding Director of the newly established Institute for Leadership Education in Engineering (ILead). Leadership development has been central to his work with engineering students for over twenty years. In 2002 he established Leaders of Tomorrow, a student leadership development program, in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry and is presently Co-leader of Engineering Leaders of Tomorrow, a leadership development program that reaches across the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering.

Dr. Reeve was the founding Director of the University of Toronto Pulp & Paper Centre serving from 1987 until 2001. During his term as Director, the Centre created more than twenty-five million dollars in research programs with financial support from forty-five companies from seven countries.

As Chair of the Task Force on Engineering and Public Policy (EPP) he was engaged in development of concepts for teaching EPP at the undergraduate and post-graduate level. He is appointed to the new UofT School of Public Policy and Governance, and is a Senior Fellow of Massey College. Professor Reeve was a member of the University's Governing Council 2007-2010.
