Graduate Financial Support
Upon admission to the program, M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. students are normally provided a funding package as part of their studies in the Department.
M.Eng. students do not receive financial support from the Department.

Current Financial support for M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. students is as follows:
Minimum Support
MASc Program: $20,400/year for 2 years, plus TAship
PhD Program: $21,600/year for 4 years, plus TAship
Subject to satisfactory performance, support beyond these periods is possible, and is at the discretion of your supervisor.
OGS/OGSST Recipients
MASc Program: $21,600/year plus TAship for the year they receive the OGS/OGSST scholarship
PhD Program: $22,800/year plus TAship for the year they receive the OGS/OGSST scholarship
Tri-Council (NSERC, CIHR, SSHRC and Vanier) Recipients
NSERC PGSM and PGSD scholarship recipients will receive a top up equalling the tuition amount for the year they receive the NSERC PGSM and PGSD (2010-2011 tuition is $6,885). TAship is also available.

Funding for M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. students usually come from the 4 sources below. Students are also encouraged to apply for Departmental, Faculty, and University awards.
