Welcome to Chem Eng!
This page is for students beginning their graduate program in Fall 2012. More information will become available as time goes on. Please also check your email periodically for updates.
Getting Started: SGS (School of Graduate Studies) has prepared a very thorough "Getting Started" guide, which includes valuable information for you as an incoming student. Please refer to SGS's information as well as the supplemental information below.
Housing: The Housing Office has information on various housing options, including residence, off-campus and temporary housing options. Incoming full-time students can get free access to the rental housing listing by submitting a complete membership form (leave the payment information section blank) and a copy of your offer of admission to the fax number on the form, or to housing.services@utoronto.ca.
Student Services: Before you start your program is the best time to get to know what services are available to you as a graduate student and beyond.
Student Card (TCard) and Library Access: The university will start providing student cards (TCards) on Monday, June 4th for grad students starting their program in September 2012. Please check the TCard Office's site for information on how to get your card. Access to the UofT library will be available starting the first week of July for students who have authenticated their TCard.
Sessional Dates: SGS maintains a list of general sessional dates for graduate students. Fall 2012 graduate courses start the week of September 10th, however there may be information and training sessions (such as a safety training workshop) which take be held anywhere from September 4th to 7th. More information on the orientation and safety training sessions will be available at a later date.
Student Web Service: The online student information system (also called ROSI) is your student record at the university. Take some time to access the system, and learn how to use it before September. Click on the "first time user?" link to learn how to access the system for the first time.
Courses: The 2012-2013 Course Timetable will be available in June. Additional information, such as descriptions, links to departments that offer courses that may be of interest to Chem Eng students, is available on the Graduate Courses page.
